J. Springs Automatic Watch Review

Searching for an affordable automatic watch, I came across this beauty in Creationwatches.com. The brand may sound familiar to you, but it is actually a Seiko subsidiary. Hence, it carries Seiko mechanisms. This particular watch has Seiko's infamous 7s26 Automatic movement, which is known to be extremely solid.

The model number is BEB085 Series. The watch costed me 65 USD shipped. For the quality you for that many you may call it a steal.

The watch  comes in 43 mm case and it is all stainless steel. It has a hardened crystal in the front and mineral crystal at the back- the display case. It offers 100m water resistance.

A day-date complication can be seen on the 3 o'clock position as is usual with nearly all Seiko 5s. The bezel does not rotate, but the inner bezel can, controlled by a second crown positioned at 4.30 o'clock.

The band is stainless steel too, and gives the watch a heavy feeling. End links are solid and provides a seamless connection.
Watch hands and indices are all lumed, and glow is pretty decent. By the way, the hands and indices are applied with a beautifully done blue paint and they can be highlighted when you turn the face of the watch towards any light source. When looked closely, you can notice that the dial has a nice touch of pattern which kind of looks like vertical and horizontal lines on a globe. The face has also a domed shape, which increases the hardness of the glass.

Overall the watch deserves any praise. An affordable masterpiece. Backed by Seiko quality, the watch stands between a rough dive watch and an elagant Seiko 5 Sport.
